The Lagomorph

Lagomorph 2013

Yesterday morning, the latest edition of The Lagomorph went live, and I’m thrilled to have been included again this year. In case you’re unfamiliar, The Lagomorph is a document of the previous year in music, with retrospective pieces written by some of Richmond’s most talented architectural dance-partiers. I get such a kick out of being listed in the same table of contents as these dedicated writers. It really is an honor.

For my entry, I decided to memorialize the year I fell in love with interviewing artists by sharing five of my favorite questions and answers from 2013. I’m especially proud of the information I was able to glean in these exchanges. There’s some nerdy recording stuff, some crosstalk about karaoke, a one-liner about doing drugs in a planetarium… all answers I believe reveal something meaningful about the artists who gave them — something that the Internet didn’t already know — and I hope you’ll take a look.

SPOILER ALERT: Here’s a song from one of the bands I included…

Dead Fame — “Static State” [Spotify/iTunes]
