Yesterday morning, the latest edition of The Lagomorph went live, and I’m thrilled to have been included again this year. In case you’re unfamiliar, The Lagomorph is a document of the previous year in music, with retrospective pieces written by some of Richmond’s most talented architectural dance-partiers. I get such a kick out of being listed in the same table of contents as these dedicated writers. It really is an honor.
For my entry, I decided to memorialize the year I fell in love with interviewing artists by sharing five of my favorite questions and answers from 2013. I’m especially proud of the information I was able to glean in these exchanges. There’s some nerdy recording stuff, some crosstalk about karaoke, a one-liner about doing drugs in a planetarium… all answers I believe reveal something meaningful about the artists who gave them — something that the Internet didn’t already know — and I hope you’ll take a look.
